Ampthill History Forum was formed to help promote Ampthill's rich history. This is done through this website, local history books & guided walks.

Ampthill & District Preservation Society

Is concerned with raising interest in the Ampthill's historic environment. Talks of local & national interest are organised on a monthly basis from October to December and February to May. These are usually on the first Tuesday of the month except the May meeting and take place in the Chapter House of St Andrew's Church, Ampthill.

Ampthill & District Archaeology and Local History Society

is interested in the history of Ampthill & surrounding villages, and regularly undertakes archaelogical work with its members. For further details visit their website. They hold regular meetings on the first Monday of the month from September to April

Aragon Day Festival

This is a biennial event to celebrate the town's historic links with Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon. a one-day festival is held in the centre of town with a range of activities and historical re-enactors who help to bring the Tudor period to life. The next Aragon day will be on Saturday 27 July 2013

Bedfordshire Local History Association

promotes the study of Bedfordshire's history and provides a forum for discussion and cooperation between interested groups and individuals

Bedfordshire Historical Record Society

Since 1912 the Society has been publishing material on the history of Bedfordshire, with a new volume of well-researched articles or monographs being published each year
